21th November, 2009 | Kellie Pickler shows off her new red hair

Country singer and former “American Idol” contestant Kellie Pickler has traded in her blond locks for a new red hairdo.

Pickler first told her fans of the change a few weeks ago on her Twitter page, saying, “Incognito with my red hair. On Broadway in Nashville.”

“It’s just hair! Some people don’t even have hair,” Pickler tells The Boot blog. “So, while I have my hair, I’m going to play with it and experiment with it. When you get people that are just like, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re so much better as a blonde,’ it’s like where are your priorities?”

Pickler debuted her new look in the video below, where she congratulates Laurie DeYoung on her introduction into the Country Music DJ Hall of Fame.
